Warning Signs
Situational -Recent loss of a loved one - death, separation, divorce -Anniversary of a death of a loved one - especially suicide -Survivor of Suicide -Loss of a job, prestige or money -Illness -Exhaustion of resources - real or imagined

Behavioral Clues -Talking or writing about suicide -Giving away personal possessions -Change in actions - eating or sleeping habits, sex drive -Preparing for death - funeral arrangements, insurance, wills -Frequent crying -Buying weapons, pills
Emotional Clues -Sense of failure -Continual or constant sadness -Feelings of helplessness/hopelessness -Feelings of guilt -Withdrawing or isolation -Feeling like a burden to others -A sudden lifting of depression
Verbal Clues -I cant go on...... -I have nothing to live for -No one cares -Theres nothing left to do -Whats the use -They wont have me to kick around anymore -Im at the end of my rope -They are better off without me
